Located on Lake Superior, we cater to Kayakers, Canoeists, Paddleboarders, Hikers, and anyone who loves the outdoors.
Paddlers Village is really not a campground in the sense that people would use it to just hang out and relax around their particular unit all day. It is a village or resort for people on the go with a need to have a great place to relax and sleep after an exciting day of outdoor activities here in the Upper Peninsula. It is located on Lake Superior with a beach with great views but not all the units are located right on the water. It is just a walk of a few hundred feet down to the water. There are community fire rings on the beach for anyone’s use staying in the village. So to make things clear- If you are looking for a place just to camp it is probably not the place for you.
Paddlers Village is what we consider a Modern Campground – not an RV Park nor a motel or hotel. Our campsites are set up for the outdoorsman on the go. All units have bunk beds (Twin over Full) with mattresses, a small refrigerator and a table and chairs. WI-FI is available throughout the campground. You are responsible to bring your sleeping bag, any personal items you require, and cookware.
Yurts, Cabins,Platform Tents, or the Apartment are available for rental in the Paddlers Village. Restrooms and showers are located in a community building along with a dish washing station. Every campsite has a charcoal grill, fire pit, and picnic table. Fire rings are also located throughout the grounds for your enjoyment. Relax on the beach with great views of Grand Island and Lake Superior.
Paddlers Village is located on Lake Superior at the western gateway to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Grand Island in the Hiawatha National Forest. Munising, Michigan is only 2 miles east of the village and has several gift shops, restaurants, and adventure companies. Nearby, are the Tahquamenon Falls, Grand Marias, Marquette, and the Mackinac Island area is only 2 hours to the southeast.
Your stay at Paddlers Village can be filled with unforgettable experiences such as taking a leisurely paddle in a kayak or a stand up paddleboard, stargazing over Lake Superior, cozying up next to a campfire, and maybe even getting a peek at the Northern Lights! There is a 1/3 mile long beach just adjacent to our property that is open to anyone, so you can enjoy the beauty of life on the water. True Lake Superior camping at it’s best.
